Why don’t they make Christmas movies about lending industry fraud and affordable housing anymore? Oh right, because the corporate take-over of the media, politics, well, everything, is complete. And they’d rather have us laughing our dumb heads off at some inane nonsense…Wow, someone is really cranky. Maybe she needs a little “Capra-corn” to bring her some Christmas cheer.
Well, maybe the corporate takeover is not totally complete as we’ve got one independently run movie house left in New Orleans. At noon Prytania is showing a matinee of Frank Capra’s holiday classic It’s a Wonderful Life.
