So The Takedown is this phenomenon that started in Brooklyn seven years ago that, well, I think the The New York Times puts it best, “In the spirit of two wholly American pursuits — overeating and winning — comes the Takedown, a cooking competition where anything goes.”
Today, The Takedown comes to New Orleans. Twenty chefs will be given 15 pounds of bacon, with which they can cook whatever they like. It’s $15 to sample their creations, and vote for the winner. Yum.
