Cajun Food, Meat Pies and Antiques

There is a trio of Louisiana Festivals going on this weekend that sort of radiates out from New Orleans, in all directions.

Over in Acadiana, there is the Lydia Cajun Food Fest. “Fais DoDo Friday night & Saturday ‘s Cajun Food Fest has 40 + Food booths, crafts & a Poke R Run, Carnival Rides with 11 Bands playing both days.” Here’s a map.

Down in Thibodaux, there is the Bayou Lafourche Antiques Show. This should be really good for finding treasure. “44 dealers from 11 states gather in Thibodaux’s CWarren J. Harang Municipal Auditorium to sell a range of quality antiques, from paintings to rugs, china and quilts. Proceeds benefit local charities and projects.”

Finally, if you’re looking for a serious road trip, there is the Natchitoches Meat Pie Festival in lovely Natchitoches (which sounds like “nack-a-dish”). Meat pies. Need I say more? Here’s a map.
