We’re getting way down deep into this here summer. It’s easy to get a little blue, to raise your fists and curse yourself for choosing to live in this steamy swamp. Or, you can get yourself out and about, and just go with it. Do not fight the summer; become one with the summer. Well, I can think of no bar and no music that is more appropriate for this sultry weather than King James & The Special Men having their Blue Mondays at BJ’s Lounge in the Bywater. In their words they are, “playing old New Orleans R&B and rock and roll loose the way you like it, and usually some good home cooked red beans and rice, too, comin’ atcha with no problem.”
